Where does Indian luxury travel want to explore once the pandemic ends

People are getting affected by the pandemic and as it is going to ease in some months, the focus is on travel and Luxury Travellers are following the news daily for happenings around the world.

Hence, keeping this in mind, a poll was conducted recently from the people in metro cities such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai etc where over 3500 respondents chose their next destination once the pandemic ends.

According to the survey, there was a surge in response to domestic travel rather than international travel. Goa emerged on the top of the list followed by Himachal Pradesh, Leh, Ladakh, Sikkim, and Kerala.

However, International Travel also never decreased in footfall were a whopping 70% of respondents were open to travel international after flights services begin. The Maldives gained the topmost position where most of the luxury travellers were open to book their next ticket to the Maldives. Followed by the Maldives, people chose Central Europe, Southern Europe, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand.

The location was determined by the mindset that the hotels, flights, restaurants would maintain safe hygiene and safety in place. Trust is the key to the locations which the luxury travellers have chosen. However, the trust can also be gained by being transparent with the hotel cleaning, the products being used, and the sanitising methods where the guests can witness so that they do not fear to enter the premises.

The restaurant is also one of the places where 80% of the respondents said that they will trust when the hotel follows strict sanitizing and health practices. This is where the restaurant should mandate the temperature checks for guests and staff, cleaning the table with a good sanitizer, contactless payment and menu and COVID-test for staff.
