Myanmar Airways International’s first ever flight to Vietnam arrived in Hanoi from Yangon on Monday.
There are two weekly flights between Myanmar’s largest city and Hanoi on Mondays and Fridays using Airbus A320 aircraft.
Earlier passengers flying between the two countries had to transit in the Thai capital Bangkok.
There would be flights to HCMC every Thursday starting this week, the carrier said.
Myanmar resumed international flights in April, three months after Vietnam.
