Gastronomical experience at Novotel Goa Candolim

Novotel Goa Candolim a mid-scale restaurant located in beautiful beach-side of Candolim is known to be a hub of water sports activities in Goa. We have covered the stay in our previous blog post, and what is the main thing which goes hand-in-hand with stay is food. Novotel Goa Candolim has 2 All-day dinings and 1 bar located on the premise. The restaurant’s name is The Square and the bar is Bar Asia.

Known for its handmade wood-fried pizza, The Square is Novotel three restaurant located in the premise which serves global and regional cuisine. A treat to watch is its wood-fired pizza and live kitchen with a live performance where they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets from their al-la-carte menu. Open from 07:00-22:00hrs every day, The Square offers its specialties such as Salads, Kebabs, Steak, and Mousse. With its global cuisine, we can try Oriental, Portuguese soup and Indonesian Laksa which is Thick rice noodle soup along with coconut milk and chicken. Salads include Som Tam Salad, Salad di Lodovico and Caesar Salad. The quick bites are worth trying for before ordering the main dish, they include hummus with naan, brioche, spring rolls, and local favorite vindaloo. You can try the seafood in their live kitchen where you have an option for Novotel Shellfish Platter and Exotic Seafood platter which depends on one’s likeness towards seafood. For short eats, they do provide Sandwiches and Burgers with fries. For a light breakfast, they have comfort food such as Pao Bhaji, Dosa, etc. Coming to the main dish of Novotel, Wood-Fried pizza which you can see preparing live offers Pizza Margarita, Primavera, Contadina, All American pizzas available and all are wood-friend which brings rich taste on its first bite. For the main course, they provide Asian and Indian meals such as Nasi Goreng, Chinese selection, Thai, etc and the Indian menu includes Goan, Maharashtrian, and North Indian food platter. There is also the availability of Biryani which everyone drools for. With its option for various food, we can end our scrumptious meal with a selected variety of desserts along with ice-cream where the combination includes Gajar Ka halwa with Ice-cream, Gulab Jamun with ice-cream, etc. One dessert which is must-try is Sable Rasmalai which is as per chef recommendation.

The Little Place: A nice chic cafe located in Novotel Goa Candolimis The Little Place which offers Pastry, cakes, and bakes along with frappe, cafe, and smoothies. This quaint little place offers its guests Burgers, Middle eastern platter and some short eats where you can savor it nearby the pool. Guests can also have their glass of favorite cocktail, mocktail or hard drinks near to the pool and enjoy the day as it ends to begin party at the night.

Bar Asia: A casual place located in Novotel Goa Candolim is Bar Asia offers some Indian and International drinks which a person can try depending on his/her preference. The drinks here include Feni, Goan Mojito, Shots, Aperitifs, Rum, Gin, Single malt, Scotch, Vodka, tequila, Liqueurs and for non-alcoholics they can try out fruit juice, mocktails, iced teas, milkshakes, etc.
