Australia to remain closed for International tourists till 2022

Tourists who are planning to travel to the land down under need to wait for more time and change their plans as Australian PM Scott Morrison has confirmed that the country will not reopen its borders for international tourists until the end of this year. The focus is however on returning skilled migrants and students.

According to the PM, the country should reach the vaccination benchmark on Tuesday and then the country would begin to reopen. The PM has already outlined the plans to allow vaccinated citizens and permanent residents to fly abroad from November onwards and this is the first time that the citizens will be allowed to fly abroad since March last year.

The Prime Minister said that after Australians, the government will give priority to skilled migrants and international students who are looking forward to entering the country. Later International tourists would be given preference.

Western Australia

Immigration to Australia is lowest because of the Pandemic and the lockdown, restrictions globally.  “The next priorities are skilled migrants that are very important for the country and who are double vaccinated, as well as students who are coming and returning to Australia for their studies.” Said the PM.
