In a bid to get along with the post-pandemic future, Norway has removed all its restrictions related to covid, including the mask rule. On Saturday, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre has announced that they had lifted most of the lockdown measures; however, some restrictions are applicable for the Arctic Archipelago of Svalbard.
Speaking about this, the PM Said, “We are removing almost all Coronavirus measures. The Coronavirus pandemic is no longer a major health threat to most of us. The Omicron virus causes far less serious illness, and vaccines will protect us.”
He further justified that the citizens of Norway are well protected with covid19 vaccination. Norwegians need not need to wear masks, and also the social distancing of 3ft has also been abolished.
The government also lifted the self-isolation requirement and replaced it with the affected adults to quarantine for four days. Travelers across the globe can also enter the country without requiring a vaccine certificate or testing.
The rule brings back the time when people can now go back to pre-pandemic days when travelers and citizens could freely roam around the country. However, visitors must know that most international airlines still follow the mask rule onboard.
Norway went into a partial lockdown in December 2021 after discovering the Omicron variant.
