As per the latest information, a three-day India-Bangladesh tourism festival will be hosted in Tripura starting April 17th. This will be hosted at the Agartala Ujjayanta Palace. According to the reports, this fest will boost tourism in Bangladesh and Tripura.
The festival will be conducted by Tripura Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) and hotel owners, tour operators and tourism officials will be attending the festival including officials from both countries.

All leading tour operators and cultural organisations from West Bengal and other NE Indian states have been invited. A mega cultural programme will be held in the inaugural session on April 17th and prominent artists from both countries will be attending the festival.
An event on traditional food to enable visitors to sample the delicious indigenous cuisine of Tripura, at the main entrance of the palace, will also be a part of the said event.

On April 19th, hotel owners, tour operators and tourism officials will meet at the auditorium of Gitanjali Tourist Residence to chalk out the roadmap for developing a tourist circuit.
Tripura Tourism Minister stated that with the expansion of railway connectivity in Tripura and shorter road links with Bangladesh, the state got an exclusive opportunity to offer a unique experience of diversity to the tourists.
