Besides Homestay or Farmstay, Glamping is also a tourism model that has been very popular with young people in the past 2 years.
What is Glamping?
Camping is having to make your own tent, cook, lack material and be completely isolated from everyone. This concept is only true when referring to “Camping” – camping in the usual way.
And “Glamping” can be considered a more advanced model, combining “camping” and “glamorous” (luxury).
In a nutshell, this is a form of vacation with full facilities but in the form of camping, and of course the tent must also be an upgraded form of camping. Even many Glamping areas have service staff that are not inferior to leading resorts.
However, Glamping still retains the very basic characteristics of camping, that is, being close to nature, unspoiled landscapes or completely located in natural reserves.
This is exactly the service for those who are both passionate about unspoiled places, immerse themselves in nature, and want a perfect, comfortable and fully equipped resort experience.
Usually a space with an area of 10m2 will be suitable for group camping with a capacity of 3-5 people. However, for luxury camping, this area should only be a resort space for two people.
A large sleeping pad, a tea table, a table or even a dressing table will be the amenities that fill the “redundancy” from Glamping. Because in fact, these items are also the highlight to bring luxury to tourists, and also a way for the service provider to properly show their “glamorous” nature.
If the inside of the tent is arranged as a hotel room, in the front, business people can put more sun loungers or dining tables to help guests rest, take pictures “virtual life”, ensuring visitors always feel comfortable.
Distinguishing “Camping” and “Glamping”
Glamping and Camping are both done at locations quite close to nature – where participants have the opportunity to return to nature as well as feel the silence in a pleasant, green space.
However, the specialty of Camping is that each visitor has to manage completely on his own, without the help of strangers. They have to prepare their own tents, cook, store their belongings and sometimes have to sacrifice privacy when camping in large campsites, next to many other tents.
As for Glamping, participants will both experience the wildness and slowly enjoy it because all are provided by the resort or the service owner, from setting up tents, preparing food, even cleaning the room. . All guests need to do is rest and enjoy the comfort. Not to mention, because it is a high-end model, Glamping completely gives guests enough space, even “excess” to rest without fear of being disturbed by people around.
Therefore, glamping is more about enjoyment and enjoyment than camping.
