One of the latest countries to lift restrictions related to covid19 is Turkey. In a recent travel update, the government of Turkey has removed all the restrictions related to covid19 for Indian travellers. With this, the nation is hoping for the highest number of Indian tourists this year.
Before this rule, Indian travellers were needed to provide a negative RT-PCR test certificate or proof of vaccination to enter the country.
With this new rule, Indian travellers can now enter the country without any such requirements and the board has now said that no proof of vaccination or negative Rt-PCR test certificate is required now to enter the country.
India’s Indigo and Turkey’s Turkish Airlines have resumed direct flights to the country and expect to welcome Indian tourists in huge numbers this year.
Turkey had the great year in 2021 in tourism after a year of pandemic The country was visited by more than 30 million international tourists in 2021 and this year again, Turkey is all ready to make a new record.
Among the tourists in 2021, nearly 50,000 were from India and thus due to this the country is hoping for full tourism recovery this year.
Turkey was voted as one of the top destinations for Free Independent Travelers (FIT) and Meeting, Incentive Travel, Conferences and Events (MICE) tourists from across the globe.
