Day 1: Hanoi to Ninh Binh and first visit to Bai Dinh pagoda
The first day of the trip is a drive from Hanoi to Ninh Binh, which takes approximately 2 hours. The scenic drive through the countryside provides a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle of the local people. In the afternoon we visited Bai Dinh pagoda
Bai Dinh Pagoda is a complex of pagodas located on Bai Dinh mountain in Gia Sinh commune, Gia Vien district, 5km northwest of Hoa Lu ancient capital, 12km from Ninh Binh city. Bai Dinh Pagoda has an area of 539 hectares, including 27 hectares of the old Bai Dinh pagoda area, 80 hectares of the new Bai Dinh pagoda area. This place is honored to welcome thousands of Buddhist pilgrims every year.
Day 2: Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex
Trang An is a UNESCO World Heritage site, located 30 minutes from Ninh Binh. This scenic landscape complex is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Ninh Binh. The site offers a unique combination of pristine waterways, majestic peaks and ancient temples, making it one of the most beautiful natural wonders in Vietnam. Take a leisurely boat trip to explore the stunning scenery and visit the various temples and grottoes in the area.
Day 3: Tam Coc – Bich Dong
Tam Coc, also known as “Halong Bay on land”, is a beautiful and peaceful spot located about 30 minutes from Trang An. If you have more time, you can visit Tam Truc Pagoda. It is very close to Ninh Binh. Tam Chuc Pagoda was built on the foundation of the ancient Tam Chuc pagoda. Tam Chuc Pagoda is currently the largest temple in Vietnam, becoming a famous spiritual tourist destination of tourists from all over the world.
