SkandagiriA famous hill located around 2-hour drive from Bangalore, Skandagiri near Chikballapur is famous for its trek. Many people climb this as a night trek where you can notice magnificent sunrise in the morning. MekedatuLocated around 90kms from Bangalore, Mekedatu is a place where River Cauvery jumps to a narrow gorge. To reach here you need to visit Sangama first which is a place where Arkavati and Cauvery river meets from here you need to walk as the water level is low here and then you can reach Mekedatu. Mekedatu was named as this place is narrow which even a goat can leap.
