The government of Haryana is all set to develop the world’s largest safari park in the Aravallis Range where the huge 10,000-acre safari park will be spread across Gurugram and Nuh districts in Haryana.
The proposed Aravalli park would be five times this size and it would include a large herpetarium (a zoological exhibition space for reptiles and amphibians), aviary/bird park, four zones for big cats, a large area for herbivores, an area for exotic animal birds, an underwater world, nature trails, visitors, tourism zones, botanical gardens, biomes, equatorial, tropical, coastal, desert, etc.” said a statement from Haryana Government.
This decision was taken when recently Manohar Lal Khattar, Haryana’s Chief Minister, visited the famous Sharjah Safari where upon his return he mentioned that the Haryana-NCR Region had lost the potential of Jungle Safari. Developing this national park will bring employment opportunities to the locals.
“The Jungle safari project of Haryana would be a joint project of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the Haryana government. Under the scheme, the central government will also provide funds to Haryana for the project”. Said the CM in a press conference.
He further added that the firms will now have to compete in an international design competition for the designing, overseeing and operating of the park.
