Travel + Leisure magazine has named Vietnam in a list of 12 destinations “that won’t break the bank for newlyweds.”
“A generally less-expensive alternative to Thailand’s famous tourist destinations, Vietnam has a little something for every kind of honeymooner,” the U.S. magazine’s Indian edition says.
It recommended newlyweds to visit the Valley of Love in the Central Highlands resort town Da Lat or enjoy scenic views of Muong Hoa Valley or Fansipan Mountain in northern highlands town Sa Pa.
For those looking for a honeymoon filled with food and culture, Hanoi is an ideal destination where couples can book a stay at the French-influenced Sofitel Legend Metropole.
The magazine also suggested Con Dao Islands off the southern coast as “an affordable honeymoon filled with white-sand beaches and scenic trails.”
It advised newlyweds to check out Con Dao’s Six Senses resort where Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie along with their children visited in 2011.
The list of ideal destinations for honeymoon also included Jamaica in the Caribbean, Mexico, Costa Rica, Portugal, Key Largo and Honolulu in the U.S.
