The Gujarat Tourism Development Corporation is hosting Megh Malahar Parv 2022 in Saputara, Gujarat’s only hill station. This month-long festival will continue till August 30, amid the beautiful monsoon season in the state.
The festival will be hosting a wide range of entertainment activities, cultural events, and traditional festivities to lure tourists from far and wide.
It’s expected that this month-long monsoon festival will keep tourists hooked with numerous activities and competitions, such as rain run marathon, dahi handi, nature treasure hunt, boat racing,. And much more on Janmashtami.
Also, public holidays and weekends will have activities like seminars, quiz contests, Dangi dance performances, and competitions like rangoli, musical, and photography.
Those attending this festival will also be able to attend creative and artistic workshops like photography, bamboo crafting, art painting, bamboo crafting, and much more.
Reports have it that Saputara has gained immense popularity in the tourism circuit in the past two decades. During monsoons, this spot becomes even more beautiful, and manages to attract tourists in large numbers. Some of the major highlights of this place include Waghai Botanical Garden, Balasinor Dinosaur Museum, Governor Hill, and Shabri Dham.
Gujarat celebrates this Megh Malhar festival at Saputara to celebrate its Gujarat rich & diverse culture, and takes pride in hosting tourists from in and around various countries and offering them an ideal getaway into the lap of nature.
